Global Classroom

Interested academic institutions and development agencies are invited to participate in the web-based Global Classroom course, Integrated Approaches to Sustainable Development. This course which was developed by members of the International Commission on Education for Sustainable Development Practice and the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning first launched in January 2008, and included over 250 students from 11 universities and one development organization. Since then the course has grown and continues to provide students with a general introduction to the basic core competencies and practical skills required of a "generalist" development practitioner.
